Singer, Diana Hamilton explains why she hardly do collaborations with other artistes

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer, Diana Hamilton has dished out the reason behind her low-interest in collaborating with other artistes.

All though Artistes collaborating with other artistes to work on a song isn’t something bad, in most cases it sometimes help elevate the two artists involved as when this happens, the acts get to tap into the other’s audience to expand their reach, but Diana has a reason she does few collabos.

Speaking in a recent interview with Media General’s Anita Akufo, the reigning VGMA artiste of the year winner spelled out the reason she hardly get involved into more collabrative works with other acts.

According to the Mo Ne Yo hitmaker, she is not able to do more collaborations down here because she hardly stays in the country (Ghana), she is always in a rush to go back and that she does not like to do recordings in absentia, she will love to be in the studio with whoever she is recording with and that also takes a lot of time.

Diana also disclosed that even though she hardly get time for collabos, she has done some in the oast, and some are yet to be released.

She said;

“What makes me not able to do so much collaboration is that fact that I am not usually here and whenever I am here, I’m in a rush to go back again, and I don’t like to do recordings in absentia. I want to be in the studio with whoever I am singing with, and so I need the time for us to actually be in the studio,”.
