Diddy Claims Feds Raided His Jail Cell, Seized Privileged Legal Notes

Rapper and music mogul Diddy is raising alarms after his legal team revealed that federal agents allegedly raided his jail cell and seized privileged materials related to his upcoming trial.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, claims that prosecutors are in possession of sensitive, attorney-client communications, including handwritten notes about defense strategies and potential witnesses.

The incident reportedly occurred at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, where Diddy is currently being held.

Agnifilo argues that the seizure of these materials violates Diddy’s constitutional rights, including his Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment protections.

Specifically, Diddy’s team believes that the feds have not only violated attorney-client privilege but have also used the seized materials in filings to keep the rapper behind bars.

In the legal documents, Agnifilo demands an immediate hearing to address the issue, questioning who authorized the raid and the seizure of specific materials.

He is also seeking to know who decided to turn over the documents to the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the trial prosecutors handling Diddy’s case.

The legal team is particularly concerned that Diddy was not informed about the search and seizure at the time, and the materials taken may be improperly influencing the legal process against him.

As of now, the federal authorities have not responded to these claims, and Diddy’s team is pushing for a full investigation into the matter.
