Diddy Seen Allegedly Physically Assaulting Ex Cassie in 2016 Surveillance Video Footage

Newly surfaced video footage reveals Sean “Diddy” Combs engaging in a physical altercation with Cassie Ventura several years prior.

CNN has released surveillance footage from March 5, 2016, depicting the mogul assaulting his then-girlfriend. The video commences with Cassie toting a bag down the corridor of the now-defunct InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, as she approaches the elevators.

Combs hastens to her, seizes her by the nape, and thrusts her to the ground. He then pivots and delivers a kick to Ventura while she lies inert.

This video substantiates the allegations made by the “Me & U” singer in her explosive lawsuit filed in November 2023, in which she accused the Bad Boy impresario of rape, physical and psychological torment, sexual battery, and assault, among other grievances.

As the unsettling footage progresses, Diddy is seen dragging Cassie away from the elevator area and into the hallway. Another segment shows Diddy hurling a glass vase at Cassie, an incident that was delineated in the November legal filing.

Cassie’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, issued a statement regarding the new footage. “The harrowing video has only further validated the repugnant and predatory actions of Mr. Combs. Words fail to capture the bravery and resilience Ms. Ventura has exhibited in bringing this to public attention,” the statement read, according to legal journalist Meghann Cuniff.

The lawsuit in question was settled a day after the civil complaint was lodged. The statement indicated that an agreement “to their mutual satisfaction” was reached that Friday evening, though the terms were not disclosed.

Cassie’s lawsuit ignited a chain reaction of allegations and legal actions directed at Diddy. The producer is currently entangled in a lawsuit accusing him of raping a 17-year-old girl in 2003. On Friday (May 10), Jonathan D. Davis, the lawyer representing Sean Combs, submitted a request to dismiss the lawsuit, branding the legal claim as a “false and egregious accusation” that was filed beyond the statute of limitations.

“This stunt is intended to prominently showcase a baseless and time-barred claim, which was designed to cause the Combs Defendants unwanted publicity, embarrassment, and financial costs, so Plaintiff could extract an undeserved financial recovery from them,” Combs’ motion read.
