English singer, and songwriter, Ed Sheeran recruits American rapper, Lil Baby to join him on the release on the remix version of his song ‘2step’.
“2step” is a song by Sheeran which was originally released back in 2021 as the ninth track on his 2021 released fifth studio album.
After his social media hype, days of teasing fans with his promotion trying to announce the upcoming song has finally been released it, it is a lovely one, as you all know the singer, ED born with his legal name as Edward Christopher Sheeran MBE never disappoints.
The remix of 2Step featuring American rapper, Lil Baby was officially released on Friday, April 22, 2022.
The music video was however shot in Ukraine, filmed in one of its beautiful cities, Kyiv before the Russian invasion.
ED has announced that all proceeds (Royalties) from the video on YouTube will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, to help the people out there to provide food, water, shelter, and medical assistance to those in need.
ED Sheeran made this known during the start of the video in a statement where he shared motivational words to the people of Ukraine and said he stands with them.
“I filmed the video for ‘2step’ in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine before the devastating acts of violence started to take place.
“It was my first time visiting the country and I felt so welcomed during my stay there — everyone from the production crew to the many people I met across my days off.
“Ukraine is a proud and resilient country and I’m grateful to have had the chance to film my video there.
“I stand with Ukraine Aand will be donating my record royalties from the YouTube streams of the video to the DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. Ed x”.
