Ghanaian Hip-Hop musician, Edem finally reveals the reason behind why he was not able to donate towards Nigerian singer, Davido’s birthday donations.
It will be recalled that the Nigerian star singer, Davido prior to his birthday asked his friends, colleague musicians and other musicians away from his country whom he has worked on a song together with also gave them a hit song to donate N1 million each towards his birthday.
Davido called out his brothers from Ghana who are also into music, in the likes of Rapper Medikal, Edem, Stonebwoy, and Shatta Wale as well as Darkovibes calling them out to remind them not to forget but do the needful which is to send him 1 Million Naira each.
Davido took to his Instagram stories where he tagged them just to remind them.
Rapper Edem has finally reacted to Davido’s call and gave reasons why he was not able to show him support during the time of his call to donate.
According to the rapper, he claimed to have been in Ada and was shooting a music video for one of his latest songs “Are You Mad” when he was prompted about Davido’s donation.
Edem who was blasted on Twitter by fans for not showing love to Davido in the recent radio interview stated that before returning from his video shoot, his team sat with him and requested him visit the people of Keta, his fellow tribesmen, in the Volta Region of Ghana who was hit by a terrifying tidal wave leading to some people losing their home and over 3000 displaced.
He added that his team felt it was more important to visit and lend a helping hand to the people of Keta during that trying time than to focus on Davido’s contribution.
Edem has also revealed that next year, in January 2022, he will be giving out GHc 10,000 to fans and that he has a list of people whom he will ‘mafia’ which are people who mocked him for not donating towards Davido’s contribution.
