Elon Musk Ordered to Court for Custody Battle Over 13th Child

2 Min Read

Elon Musk is facing legal challenges over the custody of his 13th child in a New York City court.

Ashley St. Clair, the mother of Musk’s 5-month-old son, has filed a lawsuit seeking sole custody, claiming that Musk has been largely absent from their child’s life.

A New York judge will soon hear arguments on whether Musk should take a paternity test, whether custody should be awarded to St. Clair, and whether he should be required to pay child support.

The court date has been set for May 29, with St. Clair’s attorneys pushing for a resolution. Musk has yet to accept the court documents and has not responded to the filing despite multiple requests, which has caused delays in the proceedings.

“It’s unnecessary gamesmanship when there’s an infant involved,” St. Clair’s attorney, Karen B. Rosenthal, stated.

The lawsuit stems from a brief relationship between Musk and St. Clair, which began in May 2023. Their son, referred to as R.S.C., was born in September 2024.

According to St. Clair, Musk was not present for the birth and has only interacted with their child a handful of times, leaving her to care for him alone.

In her filing, St. Clair also presented evidence that Musk acknowledged his parentage through text messages but has otherwise been absent from his son’s life.

St. Clair, a conservative influencer and author, has emphasized her desire for privacy and a stable environment for her child.

In a public statement, she urged the media to respect her son’s privacy, acknowledging the challenges of raising a child in the public eye.

The ongoing legal battle is shaping up to be a significant chapter in the life of Musk, the world’s wealthiest entrepreneur, and will likely draw more public attention as it unfolds in the coming months.
