The Entertainment Achievement Awards (EAA) is an awards scheme, which seeks to recognize, unearth, spotlight, encourage and celebrate entertainers and entertainment industry players, who have distinguished themselves in the practice of their Art and in their chosen fields of endeavour.
Launched in 2020, the scheme was created to recognize and award the talents, which make the industry worth the investment, and talents that are often not acknowledged by mainstream media, and award platforms.
The Entertainment Achievement Awards (EAA) focuses on showcasing creatives in Music, Sports, Writing & Poetry, Fashion, Comedy, Online Media, Photography and Film.
The 2022 edition of the awards was held on Saturday, February 26 at the Accra Marriott Hotel. The event saw dazzling musical performances from acts in the likes of Diana Hamilton, Akwaboah, Akosua Agyapong, and Kobi Rana.
KiDi won the “Best Male Artiste” awards, Gyakie took home the award for the “Best Female Artiste” category, Rap sensation, Black Sherif was crowned as the “Entertainment Personality Of The Year” award, Lydia Forson, and Adjetey Anang won the “Female Actor of the Year” and the “Male Actor of the Year” categories respectively, Ghana’s bigtime online money maker on YouTube, Wode Maya also was adjudged with the award for “Online Creator Of The Year”.
