Family of Three Found Dead in South Carolina Home: Authorities Investigating

A devastating discovery has been made in South Carolina, where a couple and their 9-year-old daughter were found dead in their home.

Richard Samarel, 54, his wife Lina Maria Samarel, 45, and their daughter, Samantha Samarel, were identified by the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office as the deceased.

On March 28, deputies responded to a call about an “unknown law issue” at the family’s home on Marilyn Perry Lane, off Reidville Road. Upon entering the residence, authorities found the three individuals deceased.

Though the circumstances surrounding their deaths are still under investigation, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office has emphasized that they do not believe there is any threat to the public.

At this stage, the department refrained from releasing further details, including the identities of the deceased, due to the presence of other family members in the home at the time of the incident.

They also requested that media and social media platforms approach the sensitive nature of the situation with compassion, as the family’s other members were not present during the tragic event.

The deaths occurred between 10:20 a.m. and 11:29 a.m., according to the coroner’s report. As authorities continue their investigation, more information may be released in the coming days.
