Feds Put $5M Bounty on MS-13’s Ruthless Leader ‘Porky’

The U.S. government is putting a $5 million reward on the line to catch one of the world’s most dangerous fugitives — the man believed to be the highest-ranking leader of the notorious MS-13 gang.

Yulan Andony Archaga Carías, also known as “Porky” or Alexander Mendoza, is 43 years old and considered the top figure in MS-13’s violent operations.

Federal officials say he’s behind a long list of serious crimes, including multiple murders, drug trafficking, money laundering, and arms smuggling across Central America and into the U.S.

He was indicted in 2021 and is now on several “most wanted” lists. If caught and convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum of 40 years in prison — and potentially life behind bars.

“This terrorist leader can no longer be allowed to live free,” said U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi. “MS-13’s evil devastates communities across the western hemisphere. If you have information, now is the time to come forward.”

Tips must go through official U.S. government channels, including local FBI, DEA, or Homeland Security offices. Those abroad can contact the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

The reward is being offered through the State Department’s Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program.

MS-13, short for Mara Salvatrucha, originated in Los Angeles in the 1980s but exploded in Central America after members were deported.

Now, the group operates like a paramilitary force in countries like Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala, and it’s deeply involved in drug trafficking, extortion, and contract killings.

Archaga Carías has been described as a ruthless commander who hired MS-13 members as hitmen for drug cartels and ordered assassinations of rivals — and even his own men when loyalty came into question.

Authorities hope the massive reward will encourage someone to break their silence and help end his reign of violence.

“This mission will not stop until we dismantle MS-13 — piece by piece,” said the FBI.
