COVID-19: Ghana records 854 new cases with the total now 22,822

Ghana records 854 new cases of COVID-19, reported by the Ghana Health Service GHS now bringing the total number of confirmed cases here in the country to 22,822 as of Wednesday, July 8 2020.

 

According to the latest statistics by GHS, the total number of recoveries or people discharged so far climbs to 17,564 whiles we now have count for 5,129 active cases. while the death toll still stands at 129.

Greator Accra Region still tops the chart as the most affecting city in the country with 12,560 cases followed by Ashanti Region having 4,824.

From the look of things, seeing how the rate at which the COVID-19 cases are shooting up it may be very likely that Ghana may be facing a second phase of the lockdown protocols.

Northern Region – 163
