Samuel Boadu, former Medeama SC, and Accra Hearts of Oak manager has been named head coach of Ghana’s Black Satellites (Ghana’s U-20 men’s team).
This was made publicly known following a publication by the Ghana Football Association via their official Social media handles as well as a publication on their official website.
Samuel Boadu, 36, took over from Abdul Karim Zito, who led Ghana to gold at the 2021 U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania after leading Accra Hearts of Oak to their first Premier League and MTN FA Cup double in two decades in the 2020/21 season.
Desmond Offei, 35, a former Prestea Mine Stars, Ghapoha FC, and Berekum Arsenal midfielder, as well as Salifu Fatawu, will serve as Boadu’s assistant coach.
Meanwhile former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda has also been drafted in as goalkeepers Coach.
He played for Okwaku United, AshantiGold SC, Orlando Pirates, Chippa United, Enyimba FC and Legon Cities.
Fatawu featured for Ghana at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil in 2014 and three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments in 2013, 2015 and 2017 respectively.
