Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva of Manchester City limped off during Tuesday’s 3-1 Champions League victory over FC Copenhagen, and Pep Guardiola is worried about their fitness.
Grealish, making his first appearance in over a month, was taken off the pitch after just 21 minutes due to a groyne injury, and Silva, who netted City’s second goal, had a hard blow to his ankle in the second half.
Saturday’s matchup between City and Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium will set up a pivotal month of March, which also includes matches against Manchester United, Liverpool, Brighton, and Arsenal.

“I didn’t speak with the doctor but it looks muscular with Jack,” Guardiola stated.
“He was in a much better attitude during training the past several days.
“He began to complain after feeling it on the grass. If it’s muscular, the players will sense it right away. We didn’t want to exacerbate the damage, but he insisted on going on. Tests are scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday. Bernardo received a severe blow to the ankle.”
While midfielder Mateo Kovacic and defender Josko Gvardiol were unable to go to Denmark due to injuries, Guardiola has welcomed back Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland to his team.
