Guardiola Claims Klopp Has Helped Him Improve As A Manager.

Josep “Pep” Guardiola Sala who is a Spanish professional football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Premier League club Manchester City. Before this weekend’s top-of-the-table Premier League encounter between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield, Pep Guardiola complimented Jurgen Klopp for making him a better manager.

The two worlds favorite head coaches have won the last four Premier League titles, with City winning three of them, and the teams have created a heated rivalry.

Despite the Reds earning 97 points — a title-winning amount in all but one previous Premier League season — Manchester City fended off Liverpool’s 2018/19 title assault.

Between 2013 and 2015, Guardiola and Klopp were dugout rivals in Germany’s Bundesliga, where Guardiola’s Bayern Munich dominated at the expense of Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund.

On Sunday, table-topping Liverpool will face second-placed City, who are only one point behind them.

(Klopp’s) teams aided me in my development as a manager. He elevated me to a higher level, challenging me to think about it and prove myself to be a better manager, to attempt to outperform them “Guardiola remarked.

“That is why I am still in this line of work. Some bosses, including Jurgen, will encourage you to take a step ahead.”

Between April 2017 and January 2021, Klopp’s Liverpool were unbeatable at Anfield, going 68 league games without losing at home.

Manchester City’s 4-1 triumph at Anfield last season was their first in 18 years on Liverpool’s turf, and the game was played behind closed doors owing to the coronavirus outbreak.
