Most individuals I know have a lot of questions about garlic, and some are particularly interested in the health advantages of consuming raw garlic on a daily basis.

After some study and personal experiences, Townflex and Flexhealthtips have decided to educate you on the benefits of garlic and why it is so vital for us as individuals to consume it on a daily basis.

To begin, let us define the term. Garlic is a species of bulbous flowering plant in the genus Allium with the botanical name (Allium sativum).

Onion, with the botanical name Allium cepa, has many health benefits that are good for human consumption and medical treatments. Their close relatives in the allium family include scallion, leek, and chive.

“Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.” These are the famous words of Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician known as the father of Western medicine.

Several studies have found that eating one to two raw cloves of garlic each day increases blood flow, avoiding the production of clots that can block the arteries and trigger a heart attack.

Garlic has compounds with strong medicinal properties. As previously stated, garlic is closely related to onions, shallots, and leeks. A clove refers to each portion of a garlic bulb. A single bulb has approximately 10-20 cloves, give or take.

Scientists now know that the majority of its health advantages are due to sulfur compounds produced when a garlic clove is chopped, crushed, or chewed. So see below the health benefits of eating Garlic.

Garlic contains decent amounts of essential nutrients, including calcium, copper, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and vitamin B1.
