Still, the victims’ identities have not been released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Attorney Robert Eglet told Fox News Digital that the incident occurred during a child custody deposition at Prince Law Group, which is situated on Charleston Boulevard and Pavilion Centre Drive.

During the procedures with his former daughter-in-law, Ashley Prince, who was represented by her new husband, Dennis Prince, Houston was allegedly defending his son, Dylan Houston. According to Eglet, Dennis and Ashley are parents to a six-month-old child.

The events on Monday most likely entailed a deposition in the ongoing custody dispute between the ex-couple.

Regarding the incident, a statement was issued by the Prince Law Group.

“Prince Law Group would like to express its deepest gratitude to everyone who has expressed concern and compassion to us regarding the terrible violence that took place in our offices this morning. The message said, “We kindly request that you respect the privacy of the involved families.

Following the shooting, which happened just after 10:00 a.m. on the fifth floor of the legal practice close to Pavilion Centre Drive and Charleston Boulevard, authorities provided updates during a news conference.

“We arrived in a matter of minutes. “First responders moved in and took care of business without hesitation,” said Sheriff Kevin McMahill of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Although McMahill acknowledged they are still looking into the shooting’s motivation, they do have a theory.

“We have a theory, but at this time we are unable to provide any additional details. Right now, all we know is that a man and a woman have passed away,” McMahill stated.

Police reaffirmed that the gunman committed suicide rather than being slain by law enforcement.

The incident was initially described by police as a “dynamic event.”

The area’s schools were placed on a brief, soft lockdown, but it has already been removed.

Police stated that there is “no ongoing threat” to the community, that their investigation is still in its early phases, and that they will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Dennis was the primary trial attorney on all significant matters and a founding member of the business, according to the Prince Law Group website.

According to the website of the firm, Dennis is a married father of three children who actively participates in the community. He has donated and volunteered his time to Substance Free Nevada, a non-profit that helps families and individuals in need and offers educational programmes and information to the general public.
