During his visit on Citi TV’s entertainment show “The Chat,” highlife artist Kofi Kinaata revealed a new moniker.

On the Saturday show presented by Ekow Koomson, Kofi Kinaata made an appearance as a special guest. Kofi is currently promoting his new EP “Kofi OO Kofi” and single “Efiekuma Broken Heart.”

Even though Kofi Kinaata has had a successful ten-year career in music and has won three times as Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ Songwriter of the Year, he has not yet released an album or EP.

The release date of the “Kofi OO Kofi” EP has been rescheduled from April 15, 2024 to either May 3 or May 10.

Throughout the performance, the “Susuka” singer jokingly revealed that his new moniker is “Efiekuma Bob Marley.” “Now, I’m Efiekuma Bob Marley.” It was “some guy in Takoradi” who gave him the name, he claimed.

The Western Region’s Efiekuma is a residential town where Kofi Kinaata was born. Most of the young children in the area look up to him as a mentor because he grew up there.

Kofi Kinaata gave an explanation for his insane passion for Efiekuma, saying, “Efiekuma is where I grew up… and that is where my music journey began.” I can’t stop loving them because they love me too.

The entertainment programme “The Chat” airs on Saturdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
