Following his triumphant performance at London’s Indigo at the O2 on May 3, 2024, Ghanaian rapper Medikal has spoken out about his recent media outburst.
During an interview on UTV’s entertainment programme, United Showbiz, Medikal was questioned about his wife Fella Makafui’s movie debut the day following his performance.
Just like Fella had done for his London concert when she had appeared on the show a week earlier, host MzGee asked Medikal if he had any well wishes for Fella Makafui ahead of the debut of her movie “Resonance.”

Disgruntled by the inquiry, Medikal informed the host that it was unsuitable following their divorce. The show’s host, the station’s owners and managers, and the Ghanaian media as a whole were all targeted in recordings he later posted on social media.
He even advised the media not to bother him with pointless inquiries when he got back to Ghana. On May 14, 2024, Medikal came to Ghana and apologised for his behaviour, saying he didn’t mean to offend anyone.
In an interview with JoyNews, he disclosed that, being a human, he is prone to making mistakes and offers an apology upon realising his shortcomings. “I am the kind of person that will respond to you if you approach me, but I also appreciate the media because they promote my work.
I don’t mean to offend anyone, but it could sound or appear that way in my response. Since I’m only human, I make mistakes.
If I used any offensive language during that time, I apologise; I was just “vexed.” He remarked, “I want to give a thanks to all the media outlets that support me, even though I am obviously not a robot and have feelings.
The “Too Risky” hitmaker thanked the crowd for their affection at his live in London performance at the Indigo at O2. Artists including Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Jay Bhad, Sister Deborah, Efya, and Bisa K Dei were among those performing at the sold-out event.
