An Indiana mother, Latea Hentz, is facing multiple felony charges after she allegedly boarded a school bus and became involved in a violent altercation with a 14-year-old student.
The incident, which took place on March 6, involved Hentz, her 13-year-old son, and her 17-year-old daughter, all of whom are accused of physically attacking the student.
Hentz, 36, has been charged with criminal confinement, battery resulting in moderate injury, intimidation, and criminal trespassing.
According to court documents, the altercation started when Hentz boarded the Warren Township school bus to confront another student, leading to a physical fight between the children.
Witnesses reported that Hentz struck the 14-year-old child several times during the incident.
The altercation was captured on video, which showed Hentz and her daughter aggressively confronting the student, with Hentz allegedly saying, “I’m tired of you b—- a– kids at this school.”

The 14-year-old, who sustained injuries including a fractured nose and swelling in his left eye, was later treated at Riley Children’s Hospital.
Hentz claimed that her son had been bullied for weeks and that she was attempting to address the issue before the fight broke out.
However, the 14-year-old denied any physical altercation between him and Hentz’s son and reported that Hentz and her daughter physically attacked him when they boarded the bus.
Witnesses corroborated the boy’s account, stating that Hentz instructed her children to target the 14-year-old, leading to the violent confrontation.
School officials from Warren Township School District have stated they are taking necessary steps to address the situation, including cooperating with the police investigation.
