Stonebwoy Beats Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Epixode & Patoranking to win “Best African Dancehall Entertainer” at IRAWMA 2020
Top notch Ghanaian Reggae / Dancehall reconding artiste Stonebwoy has been announced winner for the “Best African Dancehall Entertainer” category at the 38th edition of IRAWMA Awards (International Reggae and World Music Awards).
This years edition was scheduled to cone off on March 29th at the AC Marriott in Kingston, Jamaica. But was rescheduled and has moved up one week early due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
The winners for the award were announced yesterday night, Saturday March 22. After the official website if the award scheme published a post few days back about the regarding to the change of date. More info about that will be explained further below.
Dancehall artistes Stonebwoy, president of the Bhimnation beat the likes of Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Epixode and Patoranking to win the Best African Dancehall Entertainer category.

According to the president of IRAWMA Awards, “Mr. Ephraim Martin” said winners who could not pick up their awards may have them shipped to them.
“Not knowing how long the Coronavirus will be around, with us now three months into the best of 2020, gives us no room to postpone or delay the 2019 achievements of these outstanding reggae and world music entertainers.
Unfortunately, this year, the awards cannot be given in a public event; but at a convenient time, the 2020 winners, who could not pick up their Awards, may have them shipped to them,
We look forward to the next year’s 39th IRAWMA on March 28, 2021, when we can return to normalcy and the IRAWMA’s can again be presented on stage,” Mr. Ephraim Martin, Martin’s International President, said.
