For failing to show up for their Easter Dance Party With Mr. Drew on April 1, 2024 in Asuogyaman, JamRok Bar and Event Center is suing Ghanaian musician Mr. Drew.
Although Mr. Drew allegedly got half of his performance fee in advance, the organisers assert that he abruptly and unexplainably cancelled.
According to a statement obtained by GhanaWeekend, Mr. Drew even made a video to verify his involvement after receiving payment, according to JamRok management.

By 3 p.m. on the day of the event, the singer and his crew reportedly checked into their hotel. Present and prepared were the other performers as well. At midnight, though, the organisers attempted to get in touch with Mr. Drew regarding his performance but got no response.
There, in the motel, they discovered him and his group dozing. Once they were awakened, the erstwhile Highly Spiritual signee and his group drove out of the hotel without giving a performance.
Mr. Drew allegedly avoided the event and returned to Accra, according to JamRok, who claims they pursued him.
Filing a writ of summons on April 15, JamRok initiated legal proceedings and requested the following:
- A refund of Mr. Drew’s GH₵15,000 performance fee.
- Reimbursement of GH₵36,511 for event-related expenses.
- GH₵200,000 in compensation for reputational damage caused by the cancellation.
Known in real life as Andrew Nii Commey Otoo, Mr Drew is out with a new banger dubbed ‘Sneaky’. ‘Sneaky’ is a beautifully composed Afrobeats song with a blend of Amapiano which tells the story of someone who has been sneaking around with another person’s partner and is now asking to be more than a sneaky link.
