Jonathan Majors’ legal representative has issued a scathing critique of a recent Rolling Stone article that contains multiple allegations of physical and mental abuse against the actor.

Released on Thursday, the article presents interviews with over 40 individuals who claim that Majors, known for his role in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” has a long history of abusing romantic partners, dating back to his time at Yale’s David Geffen School of Drama a decade ago.

Among the allegations are accounts from more than a dozen individuals who accuse Majors of inflicting physical and emotional abuse within past romantic relationships. However, Dustin A. Pusch, the 33-year-old actor’s defamation attorney, has issued a statement vehemently refuting these accusations on behalf of his client.

Pusch categorically denies any form of physical, verbal, or emotional abuse on the part of Majors, emphasizing that these allegations are solely based on hearsay. According to Pusch, neither of the referenced romantic partners agreed to engage with Rolling Stone for the article, rendering the accusations completely false. Additionally, Majors denies any allegations of abuse, violence, or intimidation during his time at Yale.

Rolling Stone allegedly reached out to the two women involved, but they declined to comment, expressing concerns about potential reprisals. Pusch argues that individuals who truly knew and worked with Majors at Yale contradicted the allegations made by Rolling Stone, confirming their falsity.

The attorney asserts that Rolling Stone was made aware of these inaccuracies and provided statements from Majors’ actual past romantic partners attesting to his character and the falseness of the charges. However, Rolling Stone deliberately disregarded these facts and warning signs, choosing to publish the baseless allegations.

According to Rolling Stone, sources also claimed that Majors displayed aggression on set, including during the filming of his upcoming movie “Magazine Dreams.” The publication reports that two members of the production team stated that Majors shouted at and physically intimidated individuals, even resorting to pushing one person.

Rolling Stone asserts that at least one complaint was filed with producers, although another source denies the physical intimidation aspect of the allegations. Pusch refutes these claims as well, stating that the accusations of Majors being physical or intimidating on any movie set are outright false.

He explains that Majors employs an immersive method acting style, which can occasionally be misconstrued as rudeness, but those who truly know the actor and work in the industry have attested to his dedication to his craft and his kindness.

Pusch further accuses Rolling Stone of distorting the circumstances surrounding the acquisition of written statements from individuals acquainted with Jonathan Majors.

He contends that these statements were provided to Rolling Stone off the record and were not intended for publication, with the intention of safeguarding the privacy of those involved and allowing them to decide if and how they wished to comment. Pusch asserts that Rolling Stone was encouraged to directly contact the individuals for clarification.

Currently, Majors is scheduled to face trial in August in New York City following his appearance at Manhattan Criminal Court on June 20. The actor is confronting assault charges stemming from his arrest on March 25, which resulted in misdemeanor assault and harassment charges.

During his court appearance, Majors filed a domestic violence complaint against the alleged victim in his New York City assault and harassment case, asserting that she caused him physical harm. Majors alleges that the woman has previously attacked him, although he did not report the incidents at the time.
