The musical sensation Madonna performed for free on Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s renowned Copacabana beach, drawing large crowds of fans.
As the performance began, she said, “Rio, we are in the most beautiful place in the world.”
The 65-year-old’s Celebration Tour, honouring her 40 years in music, came to an end with this performance.

The expected number of fans that attended the show was around 1.6 million.
“Are you prepared?” An Instagram post by Madonna was made seven hours prior to the performance.
Hours before the American diva arrived, large crowds of admirers could be seen dancing to Madonna’s songs that were being played over speakers on the stage.
With numerous set and costume changes as well as light displays, Madonna dazzled the audience in what many have dubbed a “historic” presentation.
The diva sang some of her best-known songs, such Vogue, Nothing Really Matters, and such a Prayer. At one point, Brazilian singer Anitta joined her on stage.
To guarantee the security of everyone there, there was also a sizable police presence.
As anticipation for the event grew, Madonna’s image appeared on t-shirts, trinkets, and billboards throughout the neighbourhood.
Madonna has amassed 71 hits since her 1984 UK chart debut with Holiday, including 13 number one records.

The famous person was taken to the hospital in June after being discovered unconscious in her New York flat and treated for a dangerous bacterial infection.

An 80-show tour spanning Europe and North America culminated in the Rio concert.
