Jose Mourinho’s ‘Confidence’ At Roma Has Helped Him Earn A Call-Up To The England National Team.

Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham, known as Tammy Abraham, is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Roma and the England national team.
The Roma striker had the option of remaining at Chelsea or in the Premier League. Mourinho, on the other hand, knows how to sell.

“Do you want to enjoy some sun or stay in the rain?” he said as I took up the phone. Abraham exclaimed, ‘I laughed.’

‘When we were speaking, I didn’t give it much thought at first. I had the mindset of wanting to play in the Premier League. Being in London and England gave me the feeling of being at home. However, you pay attention to him when he speaks. He’s a terrific guy who has already aided me greatly, and maybe we can continue to do so.

‘There only only a few possibilities.’ But when I spoke with Jose, I could tell he had a purpose in mind; I could see where he wanted Roma to go, and I wanted to be a part of it.

‘I’m in Italy and most of the time I’m alone, so I need to keep myself entertained.’ I enjoy learning Italian, so give me a few months and I’ll be proficient.

‘It’s the diverse culture, food, and seeing new places.’ It’s new to me, but it’s quite intriguing. I’ve seen the Colosseum but not gone inside. That’s one of the things I’ll have to accomplish when I return.’

Abraham’s decision to forsake his home comforts was lauded by England manager Gareth Southgate, who recalled the striker after two goals and two assists in seven appearances for As Roma.
