Former HIV/AIDS ambassador Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has called herself a “failed ambassador” because she didn’t live up to expectations set by her superiors.
During an exclusive interview on Uncut, Joyce Dzidzor claimed that after coming out multiple times to amend her declaration about her status, people lost faith in her.
She admitted that, thanks to her ambassadorial contract, she was able to accomplish her personal goal, but that she was unable to live up to people’s expectations, which caused many of them to lose faith in her.

Although people would attest to the fact that she gave her all to the job she was hired for, yet according to her, she has embraced her shortcomings and the fact that she did mess up.
She continued by saying that she visited numerous Ghanaian schools and spoke with students about HIV/AIDS prevention.
Joyce Dzidzor also said that even though she made mistakes at work, the few people who saw her hard work will always stand up for her whenever she is disparaged or humiliated in public.
In addition to that, she bemoaned the fact that although she was constantly praised for her efforts, after showing her flaws, people stopped remembering her efforts and good deeds.
