American rapper Kanye West has once again sparked intense discussions about his past relationship with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. In a revealing interview with DJ Akademiks, the hip-hop mogul opened up about co-parenting struggles, unexpected regrets, and his ongoing controversies.
During the conversation, West addressed various topics, including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and his personal battles. However, what caught the most attention was his admission about fatherhood with Kim Kardashian.
DJ Akademiks questioned him about his difficult co-parenting situation regarding their 4-children and also added that people think Ye doesn’t take responsibility for his own choices and highlighted Ye’s soured relationship with Kim
Kanye made a shocking claim in responding. He admitted, “That was my fault. I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her, but that wasn’t God’s plan.”
Adding to the controversy, Kanye wore an all-black outfit resembling Kkk attire (the Ku Klux Klan is an overtly racist group) during the interview. The symbolism behind this choice remains unclear, but it has already ignited backlash.
Further, West defended a past social media post in which he questioned the mental capacity of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s children. He even claimed that the post might have been his “best or strongest” in comparison to his past Nazi-related comments.
The Kanye and Kim, who were married for six years before finalizing their divorce in 2022, share four children: daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 7, and sons Saint, 9, and Psalm, 5. West has previously accused Kim of controlling their children’s upbringing, particularly concerning their racial identity and exposure to Hollywood culture.
Following his highly publicized split from Kim, Kanye quickly moved on. In December 2022, he married Australian architect Bianca Censori, who works at his Yeezy brand. However, there have always been rumors suggesting that the relationship is now on the rocks, with speculation of a possible separation due to Kanye’s recent erratic behavior.
