Lynx Entertainment signed singer and producer, KiDi’s dreams of winning the VGMA (Vodafone Ghana Music Awards) artiste of the year which ended bad for him in 2021 finally comes through for him in 2022.
The multiple award winning artiste has been crowned as the winner of the Just Ended VGMAs which came of as a two-day event that started from Friday, May 6 to Saturday, May 7th.
About VGMAs
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), were originally known by its non-sponsored name the Ghana Music Awards until 2013.
VGMA is an annual music awards event in Ghana established in 1999 by a local event organizer and planner company known as CharterHouse to originally and primarily celebrate the “outstanding contributions of Ghanaian musicians to the growth and expansion of its associated industry”
The 2022 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music awards came of at the Accra International Conference Center with electrifying musical performances from a host of talented artsites including KiDi wowing the crowed.
KiDi who is born with his legal name as Dennis Dwamena won in four Awards at the awards ceremony in four different categories which includes Artiste Of The Year Category, Vodafone Most Popular Song with his “Touch it” song, his “Golden Boy” Album also won in the Album / EP Of The Year Category as well as he also won in the frobeats/Afropop Artiste category.
KiDi Wins Artiste Of The Year at VGMA 2022
In the most coveted award which is the Artiste Of The Year Category, KiDi was crowned the winner after beating his colleagues including the likes of Sarkodie, Black Sherif, D Black, King Promise, Joe Mettle, as well as his own record label mate, Kuami Eugene.
