Kumchacha: Bawumia won’t win 2024, not a prophecy

Nicholas Osei, also known as Kumchacha, the founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, has sharply criticised Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, raising concerns about his effectiveness in the executive branch.

Unlike most Ghanaian prophets who comment on politics from behind the pulpit, Prophet Kumchacha’s claim is not a prophecy. Kumchacha claims that he is speaking from observation and common sense.

While Kumchacha was vocal about John Mahama’s lacklustre performance as vice president during the late John Evans Atta-Mills administration, Dr. Bawumia was accused by Kumchacha of not living up to expectations in his position.

Kumchacha: Bawumia won't win 2024, not a prophecy

Kumchacha berated Dr. Bawumia for not offering practical solutions to the crisis and expressed disappointment in his incapacity to handle the economic difficulties Ghanaians face.

The pastor claimed that because of his alleged shortcomings as vice president, Dr. Bawumia has little chance of winning the general elections in 2024.

In an internet video, Kumchacha said, “I always say that Dr. Bawumia is nobody.” Is he not the one who advised Mahama to assist the government with his ideas rather than waiting to become president when he was vice president to the late John Evans Atta-Mills and wished to become president?

Therefore, why didn’t Dr. Bawumia assist Akufo-Addo’s administration in rescuing the country from the economic crisis if he too possessed ideas and knowledge to aid in the country’s development?

He persisted in his criticism of the way the government handled economic matters, highlighting in particular how the conflict between Russia and Ukraine affected the value of the ruble. In closing, Kumchacha said there was little chance the NPP would win the 2024 elections.

As the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president at the moment, is running for president (NPP). In the impending 2024 elections, John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress is his principal rival.
