Lil Wayne Drops His Awaited “The Carter VI” Album: Listen Now

American rapper Lil Wayne has officially released his highly anticipated album, Tha Carter VI, on June 6, 2025.

The Carter VI Album: This musical project marks the sixth installment in his iconic Tha Carter series, dating back to 2004, and his first solo studio album since 2020’s Funeral.

The rapper originally said that 2018’s Tha Carter V would be the last installment, but later in 2023, he had to make a U-turn where he announced that fans should expect a sequel.

The Carter VI comprises 19 tracks, with a total playtime of 1 hour, 7 minutes. The album features a diverse lineup of collaborators, including BigXthaPlug, Jay Jones, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, Bono, 2 Chainz, Kameron Carter (Lil Wayne’s son), Andrea Bocelli, Wyclef Jean, Lil Novi, Mannie Fresh, MGK, and Kodak Black.
