In an unusual twist of fate, accused killer Luigi Mangione and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs will reportedly be housed in the same Brooklyn jail—Metropolitan Detention Center.
The two men, facing vastly different charges, will also share the same lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, in their ongoing legal battles.
Mangione, 40, is facing serious federal murder charges for the alleged killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
He was recently extradited to New York after being apprehended in Pennsylvania following a five-day manhunt.
The charges against Mangione, including first-degree murder and terrorism-related crimes, could result in the death penalty if he is convicted.
As Mangione prepares for his trial, he will be held in the same facility as Diddy, the founder of Bad Boy Records, who has been in federal custody since his September arrest on sex trafficking charges.

Both men share more than just a jail. Agnifilo, the well-known defense attorney who represents Diddy, has now been retained by Mangione to defend him in his federal case.
Agnifilo and his wife, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, appeared in court this week, notifying Judge Katharine Parker that they would also represent Mangione in the proceedings.
The prosecution of Mangione, which is expected to run parallel to federal charges, involves both state and federal cases.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg confirmed that the state charges could go to trial before the federal ones. In the meantime, Mangione faces additional charges in Pennsylvania related to weapons and forgery.
Outside the courthouse, Agnifilo declined to comment on the charges but expressed that Mangione “appreciates everyone’s support.”
As both men await their trials in the same high-security jail, the story continues to captivate the public’s attention.
