The Black Stars of Ghana are facing a significant challenge ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan, as captain Thomas Partey and three other players have been forced to withdraw from the squad due to injuries.
Partey, who plays for Arsenal, has been sidelined due to medical issues and is set to undergo further tests in the coming days.
His absence is a major blow for the team, given his leadership and experience on the field.
Joining Partey on the sidelines are Joseph Paintsil, Osman Ibrahim, and Kingsley Schindler. Paintsil reported hamstring pain during his last game on October 5, prompting his club’s doctors to schedule an MRI, rendering him unavailable.
Osman Ibrahim also experienced calf pain during a match, resulting in his substitution, while Schindler is facing a medical emergency that requires immediate attention.
