A road rage incident in Philadelphia turned violent when a man opened fire on two people, a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman, on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The shooting occurred at the intersection of 42nd and Girard Avenue after an altercation between the man and the victims, who were traveling in another vehicle.
The suspect, described as a man between 40 and 45 years old, was driving a silver 2016 or 2017 Honda Civic when he fired shots at the two victims.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the 15-year-old boy was struck in the left arm, while the 20-year-old woman sustained a graze wound to the chest.
Both victims were transported to local hospitals and are now reported to be in stable condition.
After the shooting, the victims went to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Lankenau Medical Center, respectively, though police have not released their identities.
The suspect, meanwhile, fled the scene in his vehicle, which has been described as having body damage on both front quarter panels, a missing passenger-side front hubcap, and a white vanity tag on the front bumper.

Surveillance footage from multiple cameras in the area has been released by the Philadelphia Police Department, showing the suspect’s car and his actions.
One angle captures the suspect leaning out of his driver’s side window, shouting at the victims’ vehicle, and another shows him firing a gun before driving off.
The police have urged anyone who encounters the suspect to avoid approaching him and to immediately contact authorities.

The road rage shooting is part of a wave of violent incidents in Philadelphia that night, with at least five other shootings occurring across the city, leaving seven people injured.
