Manchester United has firmly shut down any possibility of offers for Bruno Fernandes during this summer transfer window.

The talented Portugal midfielder has reportedly turned down several offers to move to Saudi Arabia despite the lure of a potential transfer.

Fernandes has expressed his commitment to staying at Old Trafford and has no intentions of leaving the Red Devils. In fact, there are rumors that he is set to take on the prestigious role of the club’s new captain, taking over from Harry Maguire.

While the Saudi Pro League has managed to attract some top-tier players since Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al Nassr in December, it seems that Manchester United remains steadfast in their stance to hold onto their star playmaker.

Even though more than two approaches from Saudi Arabia were made to acquire Fernandes last month, he has rebuffed all such attempts, and the club is resolute in not considering any offers for him.

Karim Benzema, formerly a teammate of Ronaldo at Real Madrid, has made a move to champions Al Ittihad, while N’Golo Kante, the ex-Chelsea midfielder, has also signed with the same club.

In another transfer, former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino has joined Al Ahli on a free transfer.

Furthermore, there have been strong speculations linking Reds’ duo, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, to potential moves to the league as well.

Bruno Fernandes, who joined Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, made an immediate impact on the team.

He received the Premier League Player of the Month award four times in the same year and has been awarded the prestigious Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year title twice during his time at Man United.

His contributions played a crucial role in securing Carabao Cup success and qualifying for the Champions League last season.

Looking ahead, there is a possibility that Fernandes might feature in Man United’s pre-season match against Lyon, scheduled for Wednesday with a kick-off time of 2 pm.

This game marks the beginning of an exciting end to July for the Red Devils, as they are scheduled to face Arsenal, Wrexham, Real Madrid, and Borussia Dortmund in subsequent matches.

As of now, Mason Mount is the only confirmed signing for Manchester United during the summer transfer window. However, the club is on the verge of securing a deal with Inter Milan’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana.

Reports suggest that Onana is set to undergo a medical evaluation on Tuesday before completing his £47 million move to Manchester United in the Premier League.
