Brazilian international Casemiro is on the verge of joining Manchester United from Real Madrid, and he will become the club’s fourth signing of the summer transfer season.

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro is anticipated to sign a long-term contract with Manchester United and is scheduled to have a medical on Friday.

After reaffirming their interest in Casemiro’s services over the previous few days, the Red Devils are reportedly in advanced talks with Real Madrid, and it appears that negotiations are proceeding rapidly behind closed doors.

Following his emergence as a top target for Erik ten Hag, who appears to have missed out on the signings of both Frenkie de Jong and Adrien Rabiot in recent weeks, Casemiro reportedly notified Real Madrid of his wish to join United earlier on Thursday.

According to Marca, talks between United and Los Blancos regarding a transfer for Casemiro appear to be moving along quite well.

Casemiro will have a medical on Friday and may even play in Monday’s crucial Premier League match against Liverpool.

Casemiro reportedly considered a hefty offer from United for the past three days, but has since come around to the idea of leaving Madrid for Manchester after personal terms were recently agreed upon by both the player and the club.

In negotiations with Real Madrid, the Red Devils also agreed on a transfer fee in the neighborhood of £59 million. Real Madrid isn’t planning to obstruct Casemiro’s move, despite the fact that he is currently under contract through the summer of 2025.

The Brazilian playmaker’s current pay is expected to grow significantly as a result of United’s offer, although other rumors claiming that it will double are likely to be inaccurate.

Friday is anticipated to be a “long and arduous” day of working out the specifics of the transfer before Casemiro can eventually be formally introduced as a new United player.

The Dutchman has been desperate to buy a new midfielder since taking over at United earlier this summer, so his presence at Old Trafford would undoubtedly alleviate one of the many concerns Ten Hag will have throughout this season.

Before abandoning a deal for Rabiot earlier this month due to the Frenchman’s high pay demands, United were unsuccessful in their efforts to sign Barcelona midfielder De Jong, who the Catalan giants have been seeking to sell in order to balance their books.

However, given that Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, is well known to be a major fan of the player, it is unclear whether his position on Casemiro’s future will cause problems for United.

Ancelotti is rumored to be holding out for one more chance to persuade Casemiro to stay at the Bernabeu this summer, despite the possibility that his projected transfer to United will be formally announced in the coming days.
