The Circuit Court in Accra has on Monday, February 21, 2022, sentenced Ghanaian rapper, AMG Medikal to a fine of 300 Penalty Units amounting to GHc3,600 for unlawful display of firearm on social media.

In our previous update regarding the court case between, Medikal, Shatta Wale, and his friends, we announced after the hearing that the court was in session on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, and has adjourned the case hearing to today, Monday, February 21, 2022.

As many of you are aware as to the reason behind their court case, it would be recalled that the two were arrested by the Police for breaking the law for which they had to spend a week in jail before they were granted bail.

Medikal fined GHC3,600 after pleading guilty to display of arms [See Full Details]

Shatta Wale, born with his legal name as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. together with his three accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator were arrested on October 19, 2021, facing the charge of causing fear and panic following his faking shooting announcement.

Medikal fined GHC3,600

Ghanaian Hip-Hop rapper, Samuel Frimpong aka Medikal on the other hand was also arrested for brandishing a pistol (gun) on social media.

Well, the new update after February 21’st hearing according to information received has it that Ghanaian rapper, Medikal pleaded guilty has been fined.

The Court presided over by His Honour Emmanuel Essandoh sentenced the rapper after switching from not guilty to guilty to charges of brandishing a gun on social media with a fine of GHc3,600,

And also, the court has directed the prosecution to release the gun to him, this comes following requests from his Lawyer (Attorney) in previous court sessions asking that his client’s gun be released to hime ended futile.

According to the court ruling, Should Medikal default in his fine, he will be spending 9 months in jail.
