Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Medikal has been suspended by Twitter.
This comes a few days after Twitter’s new owner, the world’s richest man, Elon Musk announced that the platform is taking things a bit further with dealing with accounts who try to impersonate others, adding that there will be “no warnings” to be sent to the accounts.
Medikal Twitter Account Suspended: The Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, born with his legal name Samuel Frimpong, has fallen victim to Twitter’s newly introduced rule.
Medikal after releasing a newly released song titled ‘Sika Mp3 Dede‘ a few days ago which features Nana Addo, changed his account name on Twitter to Mr. President also used the picture of President Nana Akufo-Addo as his profile picture.
Shortly after, he got reported by a twitter user who called out on Elon Musk to deal with Medikal for impersonating the president by tagging both MDK and Elon’s account.
The Twitter user who reported Medikal identified by the username @BenopaOnyx1 wrote; “Hi @elonmusk kindly check @AmgMedikal’s account He’s trying to impersonate the president of Ghana” he wrote on Tuesday.
Checking Medikal’s Twitter account reveals that it is still suspended, and it is not yet known whether this suspension will be permanent or not.

Just as published in our previous publication, Elon Musk stated on Sunday that accounts that impersonate someone else on Twitter without clearly identifying it as a “parody” account will be permanently terminated without notice.
Elon Musk claimed in a different tweet that while Twitter had previously offered a notice prior to suspension, there will be “no exceptions” now that broad verification is being implemented.
In a separate tweet, Elon Musk said Twitter previously issued a warning before suspension, but as Twitter is rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning as well as “no exceptions.”
Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning.
This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue.

However, some of the Ghanaian rapper’s supporters have started organizing on Twitter to demand his reinstatement, which we hope will succeed.
