Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna granted the warrant on Thursday, March 13, 2025, after VeryDarkMan failed to honor a court summons issued on March 5, 2025.

The case stems from a defamation lawsuit filed by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, who accused VeryDarkMan of making damaging allegations against her on social media.

According to the claims, VeryDarkMan alleged that Chinwo was involved in a contractual dispute and had diverted $345,000 linked to her former record label boss, Eezee Tee.

In response, Chinwo’s legal team presented evidence, including emails and payment receipts, to counter the accusations and assert that they were false and harmful to her reputation.

Despite efforts by VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, to challenge the bench warrant, the court remained firm in its decision, directing security agencies to ensure his appearance.

This legal battle is one of multiple court cases between Chinwo and VeryDarkMan.
