Nigerian reality TV star, Mercy Eke, recently opened up regarding the reasons that pushed her to have cosmetic operations, specifically a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
Mercy who made this revelation during an honest interview on the ‘Love is a Game’ show, admitted that peer pressure and trends in 2018 strongly influenced her decision to have the surgery.
Dissatisfied Eke admitted that the widespread popularity of cosmetic procedures at the time played a significant role in her decision-making. “To be very truthful, it was the trend at the time. I think this was around 2018, and it was the trend, peer pressure, and everyone was doing it,” she explained.
Despite having a “very good form,” she felt dissatisfied with her appearance, particularly her stomach area.
Recalling the first anxiousness and fear she felt before the procedure, she stated; “I was really scared when I wanted to do it; I didn’t tell my mum because I didn’t want anyone to discourage me,” and adding that the procedure was planned with two friends, and the trio went through it together, sharing the costs and emotional support.
While speaking about the recovery process after going after the knife, share disclosed that the process it was a physically demanding experience that required her to lie on her stomach for 14 days to prevent any pressure on the newly enhanced area.
Additionally, she noted the discomfort of post-surgery massages, which are crucial for reducing swelling and helping the body heal properly.
“Getting your body massaged after the surgery is the painful part, also not being able to sleep on your bum for 14 days thereabout so you have to lay with your stomach. Also, when the nurses try to massage you to bring the water out”, she said.

Mercy in the interview also touched on the rumors that she also enhanced her face, clearing the air, she admitted she only worked on her lips side which wore off after three months time, but not her face.
“It was worth it,” she asserted, adding that she frequently posts throwback photos to dispel these rumors. “People keep saying that I touched my face, so I keep posting throwbacks for them to see. I have only touched my lips, I had fillers done, it dissolves after three months, and I feel like people need to be more educated,” she said.
Mercy Eke concluded her interview by expressing satisfaction with her decision to undergo liposuction and a Brazilian Butt Lift. She stated that her enhanced figure feels natural and described the softness of her body, comparing it to water. “I had liposuction done, and my bum is the softest you would even touch; it’s just fat, so it feels like water,” she confidently said.
