Apple TV+ has announced that all four episodes of the documentary series will premiere globally on February 21, 2024.
The series, “Messi’s World Cup,” follows the career of the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner across five FIFA World Cup appearances, including his victory in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final, which is considered one of the most exciting finals in history.

Covering Messi’s initial matches with the Argentina national football team, his burden of carrying a nation’s expectations, his temporary retirement in 2016, and his comeback leading to winning the FIFA World Cup in 2022, the series provides a comprehensive look at his journey.
The announcement follows the recent premiere of “Messi Meets America” on Apple TV+, a six-episode docuseries that explores Messi’s time playing in the MLS with Inter Miami CF. The finale of “Messi Meets America” aired on December 6, adding another chapter to Messi’s story.
