Two other officers who were with the deceased and who are said to be in his late 30s were not injured when the deceased military officer was shot and killed.
Sources close to Citi News claim that the incident took place in front of the Millennium City Police station in the Central Region’s Gomoa East District.
According to information obtained by Citi News, a brother of a military officer purchased land in Millennium City from some Chiefs, but land guards were causing him trouble.
The deceased military man drove to the area with two other officers in search of a long-term solution to the situation after filing a first complaint at the Millennium City District Police Command. However, they were confronted by Benlord Ababio, the Gyasehene of Millennium City, who attempted to prevent them from filing a second complaint at the Divisional command. Ababio fired at them as they were making their way to the station, killing the officer, whose identity is still unknown.
The suspect is being held by the police.
