A 31-year-old Milwaukee man is facing significant charges for allegedly attacking a 25-year-old woman, threatening her life, and throwing her 1-year-old kid from a second-floor balcony.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the incident occurred on Thursday, March 13, 2025, and officers from the Milwaukee Police Department were dispatched to Froedtert Hospital to investigate the claims of child abuse, as well as interview the woman who claimed she and her child had been abused.
The mother told police she returned home about 5 p.m. and heard her daughter weeping. When she approached Eiland about what happened, he allegedly claimed the toddler had run into him, and when she questioned his version, the two began to argue. Eiland is claimed to have replied by grabbing up and shaking the toddler.
The lady told authorities that Eiland then laid the child down before pushing her, and she responded by spraying him with Mace and attempting to call for help. However, Eiland allegedly took her phone and gave a chilling threat, saying: “You gone to die today.”
Seeking protection, the woman led her daughter to a second-story balcony, but Eiland reportedly followed, grabbing the 1-year-old by the neck and the two began fighting over the youngster. Witnesses and reports say that during the altercation, Eiland “intentionally threw” the toddler from the balcony before turning his focus to the wife and assaulting her for nearly a minute.

In an interview with police, Eiland described the incident as a “tug of war” over the child and stated that she “fell” from the balcony.
The 1-year-old was subsequently taken to the hospital and treated for abrasions on her forehead and cheek, as well as bruises throughout her body. Fortunately, despite falling nearly 16 feet from the balcony, she sustained no skeletal or cerebral fractures.
The mother however sustained a sprained finger and required stitches for a head injury.
Eiland who is married to the child’s grandmother, is now facing multiple charges, including:
- Substantial battery with intent to cause bodily harm
- Domestic abuse causing physical pain or injury
- Child abuse with a high probability of great harm
Court records show Eiland’s bond was set at $15,000. Should he post bail, he will be required to wear a GPS monitor and is prohibited from contacting the victims.
