Awutu Bereku, Central Region resident Kwabena Gideon, 23, was a mobile money vendor. The community is shocked by his tragic end.

The one-year-old kid of Gideon’s wedded wife is said to have consumed po1son, which caused his premature deÀth.

It is assumed that he died within twenty minutes of ingesting the po1son, as per the reports, and a bottle of po1son was discovered next to him.

Gideon’s employer was the beneficiary of a debt of 16,000 Ghana cedis, which is what ultimately led to his death.

The debt allegedly accumulated following Gideon’s fall prey to MoMo scammers, underscoring the widespread danger of financial scams that target people in the mobile money industry.

The upsetting circumstance highlights the difficulties faced by mobile money providers, who frequently manage the hazards inherent in their line of work.
