“She’s not my biological daughter” Mr Ibu finally reacts as daughter set to marry man she met on TikTok

Popular Nigerian actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu has finally reacted to the news of her daughter, Jasmine who is set to marry a man she met on Titok.

It will be recalled that for some days past and even just a few hours ago before this very post, Jasmine took to her official Instagram account where she flooded it with loved-up videos and photos of her and her newly found American lover.

Jasmine, who has fallen deeply in love in her series of posts mocked people whare ae still single out there telling them they are missing out and that they should try to get themselves someone to love.

According to Chioma Jasmine Okafor, she met his handsome-looking American boyfriend via video-sharing platform, TikTok, and they are getting married very soon.

Well her daddy, veteran Nigerian Comic actor, Mr Ibu has finally reacted to the news while speaking with Nigerian blog, Sunday Scoop.

The actor in reacting to what are his stands on the decision taken by his daughter to marry a man she met on Tiktok gave a funny but interesting answer.

Mr Ibu who gave a funny reply said he has been praying for them which means he has already given them his blessings.

He said;

“She is not my biological daughter but I trained her. She calls me daddy and I call her daughter. I am okay with it (her getting married). I have been praying for them and I will keep on doing that.

“Man and woman got to know each other one day. It is a gradual process. However, I don’t want to see tears.”

Away from his daughter’s marriage saga, Mr Ibu speaking about how his experience in the Movie or entertainment industry has been said the industry has been nice to him but while busy trying to build up his career he came across a lot of bad people, where he had to sometimes receive beatings publicly due to the kind of roles he sometimes plays in movies {films].

“My experience in the industry has been nice but in the course of building my career, I encountered a lot of bad people. I was beaten publicly several times because of the roles I have played. I have also received slaps for free but those incidents did not get me angry.” he said

Asked if he agrees with those who say entertainers should stop campaigning for politicians if they cannot tell them the truth about the plight of the masses when it matters, Mr Ibu said:

“(I am) completely okay (with it). I have rejected many invitations to be part of the campaigns of politicians. Any politician that does not have the interest of the people at heart should not be voted for.

“Many of them (politicians) will use every language they know to get on the good side of the public and get their votes. But, when they get into office, they would not give the public what they promised. That is why it is hard for me to go for campaigns. I walked into (Bola) Tinubu’s own. I was told he called us for a meeting. I walked in and saw a campaign going on.”

Reiterating the fact that he doesn’t want any of his children to resemble him, the legendary actor said:

“God forbid that my children look like me. There must be something wrong with any of my children who decides to resemble me.”
