Nigerian music sensation, Naira Marley, isn’t taking accusations lightly. He’s fired off a N500 million (five hundred million naira) lawsuit against actress Iyabo Ojo, and he’s not just after the cash—he wants a public apology.
Through the legal firm Olalekan Ojo (SAN) & Co. Naira Marley pointed the finger at Iyabo’s Instagram account, claiming it’s the source of all things malicious and inaccurate. The firm sent a letter to Iyabo, stating their case.

Recall that in a September 2023 Instagram post, around the time when singer Mohbad passed away, Iyabo didn’t mince words. She accused Naira Marley of having some kind of spiritual and physical connection with the late musician.
The actress on Instagram wrote; “Even when I (Iyabo Ojo) have sent boys to you (Naria Marley), you disappointed us wahali, but you have a hand in everything that caused that boy pain, agony, trauma, you had a hand in it, and if you say you don’t have a hand in it, then come out and defend yourself. Naira Marly you sabotaged that boy, (MOHBAD) you frustrated him, and dealt with him spiritually, physically and mentally.”
Naira Marley’s legal team isn’t having it. His attorney claim Iyabo accused him of mentally torturing Mohbad. Now, they want a public apology on her official Instagram account and in a national newspaper. And they mean business—they’ve given her seven days from receiving the letter to make it happen.

If Iyabo Ojo doesn’t play ball, Naira Marley’s camp and lawyer is ready to hit her with a lawsuit seeking N500 million in damages. Plus, they’ll slap a court injunction on her, making sure she doesn’t go spreading similar accusations again. Serious stuff. Check out the letter below.
