Osaka made her breakthrough into the upper echelon of women’s tennis in 2018 when she won her first Women Tennis Association title at the Indian Wells Open.

As she continues to take a break from tennis, Naomi Osaka fell out of the world’s top 10 for the first time since winning the 2018 US Open.

The former world number one hasn’t played since exiting the third round of the US Open last month.

Osaka has dropped to 12th in the WTA rankings, her lowest position since three years ago, when she won her first of four Grand Slam titles at Flushing Meadows, defeating Serena Williams in an epic final.

The 23-year-old previously stated that she would return “probably soon” and at this point she’s coming extraordinary energy to make her fans proud as she prepared for the next season.

Osaka had previously backed out of the French Open and skipped Wimbledon this year.
