WASHINGTON — Rapper Nicki Minaj launched a harsh attack against Dr. Anthony Fauci on Friday, claiming the former government scientist will lose his speech and rely on a feeding tube in the future.
The social media post on X followed Fauci’s appearance before the Senate to answer questions about the federal government’s COVID-19 response. During the congressional hearing, Fauci declined to answer key questions and invoked his Fifth Amendment rights.
Minaj blamed the former White House health official for widespread trauma caused during the pandemic. She singled out the hardship faced by newborns, young children, pregnant women, and elderly citizens who lived through the global health crisis.
Minaj stated that “innocent people” have stopped trusting the government after con artists stole billions of tax dollars during the pandemic.
Along with her statement, Minaj posted an artificial intelligence image depicting Fauci on a bed writing in a diary. The image referred to recent conservative backlash after Congress released personal diary entries written by Fauci during his time leading the pandemic response.
The musician noted that she finds no humor in the situation. Still, she offered a complimentary message to “everyone who made it to the other side” of the health crisis.
Minaj has voiced strong political opinions in recent years, aligning herself with President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
Trump regularly clashed with Fauci during his first presidency over business shutdowns, mask rules, and virus containment strategies. Minaj’s latest comments build on her history of questioning federal health guidelines and public officials.
