Nigeria maintains a flawless record with 10 nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards

Burna Boy and Davido led the Nigerian delegation at the award ceremony, which took place in Los Angeles on February 5, 2024, with four and three nominations respectively.

Rapper Olamide and calming singers Ayra Starr and Asake each received one nomination, bringing the total to ten.

But when Nigerian artists did not win any of the four categories in which they were nominated—Tyla winning the first-ever African Music Performance award—the country was taken aback.

Burna Boy and Davido lost to Shakti’s “The Moment” in the Global Album category and to Pashto in the Global Music Performance category. Lil Durk’s “All My Life” defeated Pashto in the Best Melodic Rap performance category.
