Media personality Sally Mann has hit back at Shatta Wale’s repeated claims that the Ghanaian media is out to destroy him.
Wale, the controversial dancehall star, has been vocal in accusing the media of plotting against him, particularly after Sally Mann suggested that industry insiders had been conspiring to elevate Stonebwoy while sidelining him.

In a direct response, Mann dismissed Wale’s accusations, stating that no one has brought him down but his own behavior. “Shatta Wale’s downfall is entirely self-inflicted. His arrogance and stupidity have cost him,” Mann said in a recent interview.
Mann pointed to Wale’s repeated attacks on influential figures in the media industry, particularly his insults towards Osei Kwame Despite and Kwesi Twum, the owners of two of Ghana’s most powerful media outlets—Despite Media and Multimedia.
“You can’t insult powerful people in the industry and expect there to be no consequences,” Mann added.

While Shatta Wale has often been a lightning rod for controversy, accusing others of undermining his career, Mann insists that the issues plaguing his rise to stardom are a result of his own actions. “He shot himself in the foot,” she said.
Mann’s comments have added fuel to the ongoing debate about Wale’s relationship with the media and his place in the Ghanaian music scene.
With many fans divided, it seems that the dancehall artist’s career challenges are likely to continue to be a point of contention within the industry.
