Mallory Ebert, a talented freshman soccer player at Artesia High School, tragically passed away in a car accident on the evening of Thursday, November 14, 2024.
The young athlete’s death has left her school and community in mourning.
A statement from the Artesia Girls Soccer Boosters confirmed the heartbreaking news:
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our Lady Bulldog, Mallory Ebert.
In this sorrowful time, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ebert and Corza family.
Our memories we have made with Mallory will forever be cherished and forever be held dear to us. Please continue to pray for Mallory’s family, friends and our Lady Bulldog Soccer family.”

Although the official cause of death has not yet been confirmed, reports indicate that Ebert was one of two victims involved in a fatal crash in Artesia on Thursday night.
The accident occurred when a white 2014 Chevrolet Corvette traveling north on 13th Street at around 11:30 p.m. crashed into a utility pole, resulting in a power outage and road closure near Memorial Drive at Artesia General Hospital. The road was reopened by Friday afternoon.
The identities of the two deceased have not been officially released, but sources have identified Mallory Ebert and Aaron Harmon, both from Artesia, as the victims of the crash.
