NPP will win 2024 elections if NDC doesn’t present Mahama as flagbearer – Clement Apaak tells NDC

The Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak tells the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to allow former President, John Dramani Mahama, lead the party in the forthcoming 2024 elections.

According to the MP, the party needs not to waste time in choosing a new flagbearer to lead the party but rather stick with Mahama if they still want to see NDC win into office.

This comment from Mr Apaak who was also a presidential staffer under former President Mahama follows the latest projections by the economist intelligence unit (EIU) which says that NDC will win the forthcoming 2024 elections over NPP, but also said that the victory will only be achieved if the party chooses a new leader instead of Mahama.

Mr Apaak in response to the projection said that it is only the former President, JM who can rescue the country Ghana, adding that Mahama’s works are self-evident, he won the 2020 elections but it was stolen from him by Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP.

HE continued by calling on the NDC to grant John Dramani Mahama a free pass without even voting to selcet a new flagbearer so that he can reclaim his stolen mandate and also rescue the country.

“JM2024. The man won the 2020 Presidential elections, this truth is self evident. He was denied his mandate by institutions whose leaderships were handpicked by his competitor to do just that. JM deserves a free pass to reclaim his stolen mandate. Only JM can rescue Ghana!” – he wrote.

The National Democratic Congress lost the December 7th, 2020, elections to the ruling party NPP after the Electoral Commission declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as the winner, John Dramani Mahama took the matter to court because he was not okay with the result but lost the court case after Supreme Court dismissed the petition filed in a unanimous decision including lack of concrete evidence.
