A heartbreaking tragedy has struck a Wyoming family as 7-year-old Olivia Blackmer, the sole survivor of a brutal murder-suicide, has passed away after five days in the hospital.
Olivia was shot by her mother, Tranyelle Harshman, who killed her three daughters before taking her own life on February 10, 2025.
Tranyelle, 35, reportedly shot her four daughters in the head, with three of them—2-year-old twins Brooke and Jordan, and 9-year-old Brailey—dying immediately.
Olivia was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, after battling for life, Olivia succumbed to her injuries on February 15, 2025, at 3:44 p.m.
The news was confirmed by Olivia’s stepmother, Katelynn Blackmer, through a heartfelt update on a GoFundMe page created to assist the grieving family. “Olivia is with her sisters now.
“She gained her angel wings yesterday,” Katelynn wrote. “She fought so hard until the very end, but her body just couldn’t take anymore.”

Olivia’s father, Quinn Blackmer, also shared his devastation on social media, saying, “The amount of pain we feel is unimaginable, but knowing my daughters are together gives me some peace.”
He expressed his deep sorrow for losing his girls, adding, “They were all so loved, and we will carry them with us forever.”
Tranyelle’s husband, Cliff Harshman, had previously spoken out about his wife’s struggles with mental health, including postpartum depression and PTSD.
He expressed that while the tragedy was incomprehensible, his wife was not a “monster” but rather a mother battling severe psychological challenges.
As the community rallies around the grieving family, they remember Olivia as a courageous little girl who fought until the very end.
